The Alibi Archives come to life

Roman Frillarte, a fan of my work, drew to my attention the debut of "My Mobile Witness," not unlike the Alibi Archives that appear in my novel Hominids and its sequels.

So if you got a patent on this idea before you wrote your books, would it mean that you could sue this company for patent infringement. And if the idea was not patented, and appeared in your books, does it make this whole idea of an alibi system, as well as their implementation of it open and not patentable...like communication satellites are because Clarke wrote about them before getting a patent on the idea? What are your thoughts on this?

Hello, my Chinese friend!

I know about Zu da-shou because the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto is a real place, and it really does have the exhibits I described related to him. :) :) :) I'm glad you liked my book!

There was a project @ MIT I read about a year or two ago where one of the guys rigged his house up (expect the washroom) with constant audio and video recording so they could get petabytes of data related to his newborn son learning to talk. It was going to record everything the boy did for 3 years in order to try and analyze it all for the AI program.

I immediately thought of the Alibi archives -- except these guys had a 'panic button' installed which would scrub the last minute or so -- for the times they walked out of the bathroom in the nude :-O

Oh,my SF-master!
It is today that I have read your answer to me.
I learn english through your books!
It's so amazing.
But in China, your books are so difficult to find. It's a pity.
I want to buy all your books not only the"Caculating God"
