I love it when they try to get me to do their homework
A letter I received today:
In what ways would you consider The Terminal Experiment philosophical? What themes or messages are you trying to convey in The Terminal Experiment? What does the book say about the human condition? Can't blame the guy for trying ...

I might've, would've, maybe tried that if I were still in high school actually. Nice that some curriculum are using your books as material!
Rob,
Here's a similar request I got last week, although I think this one is even more presumptuous!
[emphasis added]
My main question is: Is the web posing serious competition to television (and why)?
To answer, feel free to express your views on the related questions:
- If there is competition, how is it organised? Who are the players involved? What could be the impacts of this competition?
- If there is not competition, what kind of relationship do television and the web have? Will they merge or complement each other?
You can of course express your view about any other questions you consider relevant.
I’m not asking you to write a whole book on the subject (although with these questions it is possible!). The purpose of this interview is to complement an academic work with a personal point of view to enhance the subject discussion. 1500 word would be sufficient. And it would be helpful if I could receive your answers within the next two weeks.
Alan
good book
We used to get those in our email reference service in the telephone reference department I used to work in. People would just copy and paste their homework. We had a preset response we would cut and paste that nicely said come into the library and do your own homework, buddy.
