RJS tally: 25 books
I've now finished 18 novels, and, as of yesterday, have finished editing my fourth anthology, and I have three collections (including one, Relativity, that's mostly nonfiction). That's a total of 25 books.
Here are the 20 that are all my own fiction, totaling about 1.8 million words:

I think the most accessible books I've written -- the easiset introductions to my work are: Rollback, Calculating God, and Factoring Humanity, and Frameshift.
Any of them would be a good place to start.
Three of my books compose the Neanderthal Parallax trilogy, and should be read in this order: Hominids, Humans, Hybrids.
Three of my books compose the Quintaglio Ascension trilogy, and should be read in this order: Far-Seer, Fossil Hunter, Foreigner.
Other than the two trilogies, there's no recommended reading order or sequence, although in publication date order, my novels are:
