Patrick McGoohan passes

"Where am I?"

"In the Village."

"What do you want?"

"Information."

"Whose side are you on?"

"That would be telling. We want information. Information! Information!"

"You won't get it."

"By hook or by crook, we will."

"Who are you?"

"The new Number Two."

"Who is Number One?"

"You are Number Six."

"I am not a number -- I am a free man!"

(maniacal laughter)

Patrick McGoohan, star, creator, producer, and writer of The Prisoner, one of the most amazing TV shows of all time, passed away yesterday. He was 80.

Wow.
Not just The Prisoner, but Danger Man as well.

Patrick was unique.

It always got me thinking, the dialog you quoted (used in the intro too)

"Who is Number One?"
"You are Number Six."

to put a comma after 'are'.

McGoohan created a television series that is amazing in how completely, unabashedly it declares itself as a piece of art. Thank you, Patrick McGoohan, for your art and craft and intellect.

If anyone didn't know, you can currently watch The Prisoner episodes online here.
