Me and Bobby McKee ...
I'm off to take famed Hollywood script consultant Robert McKee's "Story" seminar this weekend: three 9:00-to-9:00 days, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's actually my second time taking it; my buddy Herb Kauderer is taking it with me this time (Carolyn did it last time with me, back in the fall of 2003). McKee is the author of the book Story and was featured in the movie Adaptation.

McKee is awesome -- it's so great to just focus on *story* for a whole three days.
Although don't ever interrupt him -- a poor guy in my seminar got his head ripped off for shouting out an answer to a rhetorical question. ;-)
Have fun!

Nah, go on. You know you want to interrupt him.
I'm deeply envious. Story has been like a bible to me since my fiancée lent me her copy, oh, almost three years ago. (Hey, she'll get it back when we get married and move in together in a month.)
Your attendance (twice) is quite an endorsement, since I've always thought you had a masterful grip on the mechanics of story as it is. Did you come away with any new and useful memorable insights, or was it just a solid refresher?
Hi, Josh. I'd say it served best as a solid refresher, although McKee's showmanship is also something to behold. :)
