Fan Central Station

Carolyn and I are hustling to get ready for the arrival of seven -- count 'em, seven! -- house guests tomorrow, who are all staying with us for Ad Astra, the Toronto SF convention. What did Colonel Taylor say? Oh, yeah: "It's a madhouse! A madhouse!" :)

Hi Rob,

Wow that's a lot of people. I recall back in my old SCA days (Society for Creative Anachronism) Ellen and her mother had about the same in their small condo in West Edmonton.

Lets see 7 people +2 at 3 small eggs an omelette that's (does math in head)..a lot of eggs :-)

Vaguely tied in with the Ad Astra topic, I found your name in a Star Wars timeline document (www.starwarsfanworks.com/timeline). You're listed on pages 18-19 for the Monsters and Aliens trilogy.

Amusing where you turn up.

Fascinating! But what the timeline document says in its notes is totally inaccurate. George Lucas never saw my outline, as I pulled out of the project before signing a contract, in part because it became apparent that what I'd originally been told the project would be -- the backstories of the aliens actually scene in STAR WARS -- wasn't what it was going to be, do to licensing restrictions; the series was for Berkeley Putnam, not Bantam; and the books weren't cancelled but were in fact written (from her own outline, not mine) by Deborah Chester under the title Alien Chronicles.

Still, my outline and sample chapters are online here.

Mind if I link the timeline Author to this post?

Sure, technotaoist, that'd be fine. :)
