Sharing a birthday
The official pub date for my next novel, Rollback, is April 3, 2007, and, as I've already noted here, the novel has received a starred review, denoting a book of exceptional merit, from Publishers Weekly.
Well, I'm pleased as punch to see that my good buddy Allen Steele has a new novel being published the very same day, and that it, too, just got a starred review from PW.
(I haven't seen the text of Allen's review yet, but I know it got a star because of this very useful site called Overbooked.)

Good luck with your novel. I would certainly like to take a look at it once it hits the shelves.
Drop into my blog on birthday e-cards for some beautiful e-greeting cards and other interesting info.
According to Fantastic fiction the book will be out in June in paperback. I own the first book in the series :-)
I don't know what book you're referring to, Jim, but SPINDRIFT will NOT be out in paperback eight weeks after it's out in hardcover; it'll be a year or so, I'm sure.
Hi Rob, I agree. I thought they were a bit ambitious in making that statement. For instance Peter F Hamilton's "Judas unchained" sequel to "Pandora's star" is still in Hardcover and even where I special order books they're saying the paperback to "Judas" will be available this spring. Huh?
