Jack Williamson leaves us

The one and only time I met him -- in 1998 -- he was extraordinarily kind and supportive. Jack Williamson was a true gentleman, and a great writer. His "With Folded Hands" is one of my all-time favorite SF stories.

He was born in 1908; he died today.

He was 98 years old when he passed away. He must have had a heck of a life with over 50 novels to his credit.

Were you inspired by his humanoid series?
