Creepy AdSense
So, a member of my family was in a car accident today -- no one was hurt, but the car is a right-off. And Google -- through Gmail -- thoughtfully provided all these ads along side an email I just received from someone I told about the accident:

I shudder to think what helpful things would have popped up if I'd mentioned, in private email, that someone had died ...

Or someone who's talking about having a baby . . .
You can just imagine the ads that'll pop up (sorry) with that one *shudder*.
Wow, great! Now, if only I could figure out what not to include in my emails to stop all those unsolicited penis enlargements Adverts.
That's just creepy; but I can't help wondering what ads would appear if one were to write a particularly suggestive email. :)
Or if aliens were involved somehow.
seriously though, glad no one was hurt. It's murder out there on our highways. But that's another rant for another time.
Sorry to hear about the car accident, Rob. My brother-in-law was in an accident once, and by the time he got home, he had messages from six different lawyers, asking about representing him. Creepy stuff.
I find it hard to decide how I feel about Google Ads. On the one hand, who wants advertisement for alligator shoes on one's site? But on the other hand, they're paying, (albeit very little) and offering free services.
I just took AdSense off my blog today because I didn't like the ads. I'll try them again, though. I'm still torn, I guess.
I am glad everyone is ok.
